Growing up in Canada, I always loved the sport of Hockey! I started playing at a very young age and through Hockey had the opportunity to play at AA and AAA levels in both the OMHA (Ontario Minor Hockey Association) and later as a teenager in the OWHA (Ontario Women’s Hockey Association). As a youth, I played on many travel sports teams but transitioned to a dual sport athlete in high school, splitting my time between Hockey (fall/winter) and Track and Field (spring/summer). I was a full scholarship Division I student-athlete and graduated with an Honors Degree in Education. Over the past decade, I had the opportunity to teach and coach youth sports across various ages and levels in Canada, the US and in Europe. I have been fortunate to learn from and work alongside my father, who is a well recognized Power Skating instructor in Canada. He has worked with and perfected the skating of numerous Pro (NHL, AHL, ECHL) and Amateur (NCAA, CIS, Major Jr (Canada), USHL, NAHL) players over the years. Since moving to the Ashburn area in the summer of 2022 with my husband and two children, I helped coach at the House, Selects and now travel level with the Ashburn Xtreme Mite team.

Operating out of Belleville, Ontario and serviceing south-eastern Ontario, I am the owner/operator of Inside-Edge Power-Skating.

The mission of Inside Edge is to focus on pure power-skating with an emphasis on edge control and stride enhancement. Having an Honours Bachelor Degree with a major in Kinesiology foundation allows me to biomechanically assess skating flaws and provide immediate correction. Efficient and powerful skating is still the most important skill for hockey players.

Inside Edge Power-Skating has provided the opportunity to work with numerous Minor Hockey Associations. I have also had the pleasure to work with numerous Pro, Collegiate and Junior players over the past years.

My years as a Belleville Bobcat (OHA Metro Jr. B) and Queen's Golden Gael (University Sports Hockey) along with coaching the Wellington Dukes (Tier II Jr. A) have provided the opportunity to play and coach at an elite level. The #1 skill to play jockey is the ability to skate well!
